EcoLux☆Lifestyle: Doing Luxury & Supercar Weekend Up Right! [PHOTOS]

Every September, this incredible event rolls up with a shimmery purr to the gates of Vancouver’s incomparable VanDusen Botanical Gardens and this year it unleashed the power of $250M in automotive excellence on the city’s four-wheel enthusiasts.

The 9th Annual Luxury & Supercar Weekend featured a carefully curated selection of the world’s most luxurious and collectible automobiles. Including McLaren, Koenigsegg, BMW, Maserati, Bentley, Aston Martin, Porsche, Range Rover, Jaguar, Cadillac, Acura NSX, Karma, Singer Porsche and many more.

A highlight for me was the inclusion of the very first Porsche ever made, in Vancouver to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the marque, with an estimated value of $45M! This year was also the Vancouver/West Coast premiere of the Pagani Huayra BC worth $4.5 million, Ferrari Portofino, Rolls-Royce Cullinan worth $525,000, the all-new 2019 BMW M850i Coupe, Bugatti Chiron 2.0, Lamborghini Performante and the Singer Williams DLS worth $2.2 million. 

Sept. 6th / FERRARI X TASCHEN X SECRET LOCATION

The limited edition Ferrari book is a massive tome by art book publisher Taschen that offers unrestricted access to hundreds of photographs from the Ferrari Archives and from private collectors, to reveal the full story behind Ferrari’s protagonists, victories, past, and future. Edited by journalist Pino Allievi and enclosed in an aluminum display case designed by Marc Newson, this unique work features a complete appendix gathering all of Ferrari’s victories since 1947. Priced at $41,500.

Sept. 7th / Media Preview

The advance tour offered media and key persons introductions to top manufacturers, unprecedented access to the supercars, demonstrations of vehicle highlights amongst and other notable event components. The weather held and after the walk-through, we enjoyed a light lunch and beverages. Unfortunately, the Veuve Clicquot lounge had not been set-up so we were out of luck for some afternoon bubbles!

September 7th / Inform Interiors Celebrates with Opening Party

This exclusive event was held at 50 Water Street at Inform Interiors amazing space. Three floors of gorgeous furnishings from international suppliers and the parking level showcased the Pagani Huayra BC, the Ferrari Portofino, and Singer Porsche Williams DLS, and the Lamborghini Turn Performante Spyder, previously seen at the Media Preview.

It was not too long after arriving, that is was elbow-to-elbow on all floors. Cocktails were crafted using Belvedere Vodka, Broker’s Gin, and Fentimans Botanical Sodas, and the wine lovers imbibed in Mission Hill Family Estate‘s finest.

The catering was provided by the award-winning Hawksworth, music by DJ Flek, but nothing was as impressive as the insane oversized faux bear fur couch!

Sept. 8th / Luxury & Supercar Weekend

Noticeably absent this year was the VIP area which gave ticket holders access to many more features like the twice-daily  Oakridge Centre Fashion Show (highlights being latest looks by Blubird and Harry Rosen), numerous lounges, and a wide variety of food and beverages available by token purchase.
