At Geneva Days, created by LVMH to showcase TAG Heuer, Zenith and Hublot Swiss luxury watch lines, fans of Hublot reveled in the new models which were cited as ‘delightful,’ ‘ingenius,’ and ‘fashion-forward,’ by those that watch the watchmakers.
After a gruelling afternoon at Hublot with Suzette Hernandez, a bottle of chilled bubbly, and tray after tray of magnificent timepieces, I was able to narrow down the ‘Geneva Days’ collection to focus on the following five pieces.
Limited to just 250 pieces and crafted with Ferrari to celebrate seven years of close collaboration, the Big Bang Ferrari Magic Gold reprises the iconic design of the Big Bang Unico, restyled with a 45mm case, a bezel cut in solid gold, and a strap made of black rubber. It has a 72-hour power reserve and is manufactured with the HUB1241 calibre.
The Big Bang Meca-10 Blue Ceramic reflects Hublot bold technical and aesthetic prowess, fusing cutting-edge mechanics and ultra-resistant material. The case, bezel and folding clasp are made of high-tech indigo blue ceramic, a textured rubber strap, 10-day power reserve, and see-through dial.
Classic Fusion – All Ceramic has an all-ceramic physique, a single or dual-tone finish, and is versatile in terms of its functions. Available with a blue sunray or opaque black dial, the timepiece offers either a chronograph or a three-hand date function.
For more than 10 years, the Big Bang One Click 39mm has been revealing the multiple facets of its personality. Its 39mm case takes on the shades of sapphire, also available in pink and soft blue hues. The bezel is set with 42 diamonds (one carat) and comes with an interchangeable ‘jelly’ strap made of silicone.
Classic Fusion Chronograph Italia Independent is a collaboration with Lapo Elkann, Italian entrepreneur and grandson of Gianni Agnelli of Fiat Automobiles. This stylish Hublot Classic has a sporty twist and a chronograph movement. It has a power reserve of 42-hours and a sapphire crystal on the back, and a selection of three authentic Rubinacci fabrics. The blue houndstooth and pinstripe are available in limited editions of 100 each, and the 18K King Gold case and Prince of Wales check in autumn tones only have 50 pieces available.
Artist Richard Orlinski worked with Hublot to create this sleek geometric design that plays on angles and reflections, ridges and facets. The polished titanium appliques are sported on the crown, bezel, hands and push buttons. The glass, made of sapphire crystal, houses a date function and a self-winding chronograph movement. The timepiece is available with either a polished titanium sculpture or a blue ceramic one. The models come in a limited number of 200 pieces each.
If you missed the ‘Geneva Days’ collection when it passed through Vancouver, visit the store on Alberni Street and speak to the amazing associates who will answer all your questions about availability.
