Carolily Shines on the Global Stage: A Debut at Paris Fashion Week

The City of Light recently witnessed an extraordinary moment as the Canadian jewelry brand Carolily made its debut on the illustrious runways of Paris Fashion Week. Hailing from the serene town of West Kelowna, Carolily brought West Coast flair to one of the world’s most renowned fashion events.

A Love-Filled Journey

Carolily, a jewelry brand deeply rooted in love, family, and self-expression, embarked on a remarkable journey culminating in a dream come true. Founded in 2015 by a dynamic mother-daughter duo, Donna and Danielle Scheven, Carolily is not just a jewelry brand but a testament to the power of love, connection, and the joy of self-expression.

Operating from their studio in West Kelowna, the all-women team crafted meticulously designed statement jewelry that resonates with its wearers on a profound level. Through their pieces, Carolily encourages the celebration of individuality and nurturing a sense of belonging.

From West Kelowna to Paris

This past weekend, Carolily’s exceptional jewelry collection was in the spotlight at Paris Fashion Week, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s journey. The Canadian brand was offered a coveted spot on the runway, and the opportunity was embraced with awe and humility.

Donna and Danielle Scheven were awestruck by the surreal experience of watching their one-of-a-kind jewelry grace the Parisian runways. “It has been a surreal experience,” says Danielle. “We had the privilege of participating in New York Fashion Week a few years back, but seeing our jewelry walk the Parisian runways was something else entirely.”

A Year of Many Accomplishments

Earlier this year, Carolily was approached by a prestigious publishing house in London to participate in the 20th-anniversary event that would celebrate the Rolls-Royce Goodwood relationship by creating a handmade hardback book.

“We are deeply honoured to share space and exhibit our jewelry with a company as prestigious as Rolls-Royce, not to mention the other brands participating in the anniversary event,” said Donna and Danielle.

“To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood, the International Club for Rolls-Royce & Bentley Enthusiasts (RREC) commissioned publisher St James’s House to produce a luxury coffee-table book titled Strive for Perfection: Celebrating 20 years of Goodwood,” said Richard Freed, Founder of St James’s House and the SJH Group. “As a leading Canadian brand of exquisitely designed jewellery, Carolily was a perfect fit for inclusion in this publication.”

For 20 years, every Rolls-Royce motor car has been built by hand at Goodwood, the company’s state-of-the-art facility in the UK, and 2023 will see a series of festivities held at the facility and its surrounding properties.

A Collection Beyond Boundaries

Donna Scheven designed the collection that saw the runway in Paris and is a true celebration of women, a nod to the glamorous days of the past, and an expression of Donna’s innate artistic flair. Donna shares her feelings about the collection, “Creating a collection without restrictions or boundaries was as freeing as it was exhilarating. Seeing our jewelry walk the runway after months of hard work and numerous design iterations was incredibly validating.”

The occasion saw some pieces from Carolily’s Paris Collection swiftly finding new homes with the remaining sets from the collection will be available for purchase exclusively through their website.
